Jill George won the first of five Deery Brothers Summer Series heat races and as a result she’ll be the first female driver to start a Late Model main event at Super Nationals.

Jill George won the first of five Deery Brothers Summer Series heat races and as a result she’ll be the first female driver to start a Late Model main event at Super Nationals.

Mike Garland and Craig Jacobs chased George to the checkers.

Terry Neal, Jon Passick and Jeremiah Hurst advanced from the second heat. Josh Most, Charlie McKenna and Todd Malmstrom ran 1-2-3 in the third.

Ryan Giles, Bobby Hansen and Kevin Sather made up the top thee in heat hour. Boone McLaughlin, Craig Roberts and newly crowned series champion Ray Guss qualified out of the final heat.

Jacobs will take the green for his 21st career Super Nationals Late Model feature later this evening. McLaughlin is in the feature for the 13th time in his career.
