BOONE, Iowa – A new season filled with fun for race fans of all ages begins with the April 2 Frost buster at Boone Speedway.
Weekly Saturday night shows start April 9 for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and dwarf cars. RACEceivers are required in all divisions.
The popular Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models headlines a pair of holiday programs on Memorial Day Monday, May 30 and on Labor Day Monday, Sept. 5, opening night of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
The ever popular fifth annual Eve of Destruction is on the Fourth of July and precedes the big fire works display sponsored by the City of Boone.
Special nights for kids include Little League Night on June 11, Soccer Night on June 18, bike races on June 25, a hula coop contest on July 16, money toss on July 30, cardboard car races on Aug. 6 and candy toss on Aug. 20.
Final school bus rides of the season will be Aug. 27. Season championship night is Sept. 3. The 29th annual Super Nationals runs through Monday, Sept. 5 through Saturday, Sept. 10.
Pit gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. for weekly shows. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and $2 for kids 12 and under.
