Boone Speedway starts new season with April 2 Frostbuster

BOONE, Iowa (March 28) – Four IMCA divisions see their first action of the 2011 season at Boone Speedway during the Saturday, April 2 Frostbuster special.

The IMCA Modified feature pays $1,000 to win and is a qualifying event for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250.

National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be given. Entry fee is $30 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and $20 for both SportMods and Hobby Stocks.

Gates open at 2 p.m., hot laps are at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 5 p.m. Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, $5 for students ages 13-17 and $2 for kids 12 and under.

RACEceivers are required in each division. First weekly point races at Boone will be April 9.

Frostbuster specials sporting the same sanctioned divisions are on race cards April 1 at Marshalltown Speedway and April 3 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton. Mach-1 Sport Compacts also run on Sunday.
