The 2012 season champions will be determined Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Boone Speedway. The 2012 regular race season comes to an end as the 30th Annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals kicks off on Monday, September 3rd.
Jimmy Gustin will claim the 2012 IMCA Modified track championship by starting the feature event Saturday night. Russ Dickerson and Mike VanGenderen are separated by 10 points in the battle for the runner up position.
Donavon Smith has clinched the 2012 IMCA Stock Car track championship with his 41 point advantage over Wayne Gifford. Trent Murphy sits in third place, 24 points back of Gifford.
In the IMCA Northern SportMods, Scott Davis can clinch the track championships by finishing 19th or better in the feature event. Eric Roberts trails Davis by 19 points and can win the championship with a feature win and a 20th place or worse finish from Davis.
John Watson will claim the Pickett Salvage IMCA Hobby Stock track championship by starting the feature event. Aaron Rudolph and Curt Reed are separated by only three points in the race for the runner up spot.
Josh May will wrap up the Mod-Lite championships with a start in Saturday’s feature event. The race for second is up for grabs as Randy Bryan and Mike Kennedy are separated by only one point.
Gates open for the 2012 Season Championships at 6:00pm with hot laps at 6:45 and racing starting at 7:30pm. Award presentations for track champions will take place following the races.
Grandstand tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students 12-17 and children under 12 are free with an adult.
