Tom Lathrop

Tom Lathrop of Ottumwa scored a rare repeat, earning Sybesma Graphics Best Looking Car honors in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod division for a second straight year.

He’d won with a football theme last year, and was going to stick with purple in his tribute to American servicemen and women even before IMCA announced that requirement for the contest.

Lathrop’s brother served in the Marines and an uncle was in the Army during the Vietnam War. He’s got a friend active in Wounded Warriors and will donate his winnings from the week to that deserving organization.
