BOONE, Iowa – One of the most prestigious special events in the IMCA Modified ranks will be run under the Harris Auto Racing banner again in 2013.
The Boone, Iowa, chassis manufacturer and high performance parts retailer returns as title sponsor for theModified Race of Champions, to be held Saturday, Sept. 7 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Qualifying for the 12-car, 12-lap $1,000 to win race will be open only to previous race winners, former national, regional and Super Nationals champions, and to top drivers in local track standings competing at Boone Speedway that week.
Harris is in its 18th season as an IMCA partner and seventh in providing a portion of the RoC point fund.
Owner John Logue is a 10-time qualifier for the Race of Champions and won the event in 2001. Two-time and defending race winner is Kevin Stoa.
