BOONE, Iowa – Transponders are required again for all Modified and Stock Car competitors at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The electronic scoring devices will be used in all races for the two divisions Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 4-7.

Drivers will be able to use their own MyLaps/ABM compatible transponder at Boone Speedway or rent one for $30 for the week.Transponders will be available in the registration tent and a driver’s license or credit card will be held for deposit.

Transponders will be required for Saturday night main events in the Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock divisions. The devices will be installed at no charge to those drivers.

MyLaps returns as the official timing and scoring system of IMCA and Super Nationals.

A wi-fi signal will be broadcast at the track, which will allow anyone with a smart phone to get MyLaps scoring information.

“Those fans will be able to access current results regardless where they are at the track,” IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root said. “Whether they’re in the grandstands, in the pit area or in the campground, they will still have the ability to stay up to date on results,” Root said.

Official results, as well as stories and pictures, will continue to be posted on the www.imca.com website.
