Boone, Iowa – It’s time to renew your IMCA license for 2014 and avoid that line at the pit shack on opening night.
The license form can be printed, then mailed to the IMCA office. Mail applications to: IMCA, PO Box 921 in Vinton, Iowa, 52349.
Another option is to call the IMCA Points & Membership Department at 319 472-2201: Virginia Lindsey is at extension 215, Jennifer Parr is at extension 216 and either would be glad to take your information.
There is no increase in IMCA application fees for 2014: Cost is $115 for Modifieds, $95 for Stock Cars, $90 for Northern SportMods and $85 for Hobby Stocks.
Associate/crew member memberships, which are optional, also run $60. There’s a $50 additional fee for minors ages 14-17, which will be waived as part of “IMCA’s Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Deal” if the application is made before a deadline of Friday, Feb. 14.
Purchase of a 2014 IMCA membership includes a $50,000 excess medical insurance policy, with a $5,000 deductible, in effect at any sanctioned event, and a $5,000 accidental death, dismemberment and paralysis policy, effective at or while traveling to or from any sanctioned event.
A subscription to the monthly Inside IMCA newsletter is also part of the membership fee. If you were an IMCA member in 2013, your subscription ends with the February issue and will be renewed along with your IMCA license.
