Faster than lightning, Strickler bolts to Modified qualifying win
BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6) – Kyle Strickler beat his competition on the track and the Modified qualifying feature beat the weather Thursday night at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

Godwin to start from the pole
Nyle Godwin will start from the pole with defending champion Sean Johnson to his outside in Thursday’s qualifying feature for Stock Cars.
One other former champion is in the field of 30. Brian Blessington, Super Nationals king in 2001, will start ninth.
The top eight finishers advance to the middle row of Saturday’s main event.

All time record continues to grow
Two more Stock Cars were new to Boone Speedway Thursday afternoon, nudging the record number of entries for that division to 191 and the all-time event record to 872.
This is the fifth straight year Super Nationals has topped the 800 entry mark. The previous car count record of 843 was set last year.
