Boone Speedway hosts IMCA Frostbuster Week finale
BOONE, Iowa – Feature winners and champions alike will be crowned on Saturday, April 6, when Boone Speedway hosts the fourth and final event of the IMCA Frostbuster Week.
Fan favorite Ken Schrader joins the IMCA Modified contenders at Boone and at Frostbusters April 3 at Stuart Speedway, April 4 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton and April 5 at Marshalltown Speedway.
Top checks of $1,000 as well as Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berths are at stake at each Frostbuster for the Modifieds, while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 to win.
One thousand dollar point funds will be paid in each division. Champions will be eligible to qualify for their respective race of champions events during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s and receive jackets and plaques during the national awards banquet in November.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and E3 Spark Plugs Iowa State points will be awarded at all four shows.
IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars complete the card at Boone, vying for national and state points.
Pit gates at Boone open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. Hot laps start at 4 p.m. and racing is at 5 p.m.
