Boone starts 50th season with March 24, 25 special

         BOONE, Iowa – Iowa’s Action Track marks the start of its golden anniversary season with a Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25 special featuring four IMCA divisions. 

         IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $1,000 to win while Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $500 to win both nights. 

       Modified features are qualifying events for the 2017 Fast Shafts Allstar Invitational ballot. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State will be awarded.

       Entry fees for Modifieds and Stocks are $100 for both nights or $70 for one night only while SportMod and Hobby Stock entry fees are $75 for both nights or $50 for one night only. 

       Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $5 for students ages 13 to 17 and free for kids ages 12 and under.

         Gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

         An open practice on Thursday, March 23 runs from 6-8 p.m. Pit passes are $10 that evening.
