Double features take the place of hot laps on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Boone Speedway.

Rain forced an early end to scheduled events on Saturday, May 21, resulting in make-up features for the IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Modifieds this Saturday evening.

Pit gates will open at 5:30pm and grandstands will open at 6pm. The IMCA Hobby Stocks will lead off with the first make-up feature at 6:45pm.

Front stretch facelift underway

With the old guardrail removed and transponder loops currently being installed, drivers and fans will notice a big change to the front stretch at the Boone Speedway next week.

A transponder loop and other electrical wiring encased in flexible conduit is being bored through the width of the front straight at a depth that it can’t be damaged or destroyed by track preparation

Work progresses on the new front stretch wall on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Boone Speedway.
