Engine claims add $16,050 to purse for three Saturday night features at Super Nationals
BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 15) – Claims of the winning engines added more than $16,000 to the purse paid out for three of the Saturday night features at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals. Modified winner Jimmy Gustin’s engine sold for $7,400, Stock Car winner Jeremy Christians’ engine gaveled at $7,000 and Hobby Stock winner Jason Wilkinson’s engine went for $3,300. Each driver was paid $500; $25 from each claim went to the wrecker and $25 to the track official overseeing the claim. When the balance was distributed to feature qualifiers, each of the 32 non-winners in the Modified main got $214.06, each of the 29 non-winners in the Stock Car show got $222.41 and each of the 29 non-winners in the Hobby Stocks got $94.83. Checks will be mailed this week from the IMCA home office. There is no claim in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main event at Super Nationals.
