IMCA Frostbusters start season at Marshalltown, Boone
Frostbuster action for four IMCA divisions gets the 2023 season started this week at Marshalltown Speedway and Boone Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at Marshalltown, and Saturday, April 8 at Boone.
Feature winners all three nights become eligible to qualify for Fast Shafts or B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitationals. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod features each night pay $500 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State points will be awarded.
Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the front gate opens at 5:30 p.m. both days at Marshalltown, hot laps start and the draw closes at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. And at Boone, pits open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 4 p.m. and racing is at 5 p.m. Pit passes are $35 for adults. Marshalltown charges $20 for kids ages 3-15. Spectator admission all three nights is $20 for adults and Admission at Marshalltown is $10 for students ages 11-17, $10 at Boone for students 13-17, and free for kids accompanying a paying adult at both tracks.
