Tech inspection, practice set for Sunday before Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Pit gates will open at 10 a.m. at Boone Speedway for the Sunday, Sept. 1 tech inspection that precedes the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

Only Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods, which start qualifying during Monday’s opening night show, will be teched.

Tech inspection continues until 4 p.m. The pits will be cleared and an open practice for all divisions is from 5-7 p.m. Pit passes will be $10 for practice and tailgate.

That session will be followed by a complimentary chili supper, complete with beverages. The band Helforstout plays from sundown to 1 a.m.

One hundred and twenty-three drivers from 20 states and two Canadian provinces have already pre-entered for Super Nationals.

“Anyone who hasn’t pre-registered or sent in forms for pit parking or camping should do so as soon as possible,” IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root emphasized. “The number of calls to our office about Super Nationals is picking up. Getting those things done ahead of time makes it easier for everyone when we all get to Boone.”
