Tentative Marshalltown and Boone Speedway Season Update

Hawkeye 100 Still on as scheduled, Weekly Racing to Follow.

April 1,2020

After the recent decision of President Trump extending the Social Distancing order till April 29, 2020, Promoters Toby Kruse and Robert Lawton have decided that the best for racing in Central Iowa would be to kick off their weekly race seasons starting Thursday May 7th at Marshalltown Speedway with the Dale DeFrance Memorial and Saturday May 9th at Boone Speedway for the Saturday Night Series points season opener.

With the safety and well-being of all our racers, fans, and staff, we are hoping that theses dates are accomplishable with everyone doing their part to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Remember to keep the minimal contact by practicing social distancing, proper hand washing and self-quarantining if you feel ill. All updates to the racing season will posted thru the track’s web sites and social media pages.  Please know that we want to get the season started as soon as we can, but also will be safe about it.  We hope to see you all soon.  Be safe and stay well.

At the time of this release, the Hawkeye 100 is still scheduled for May 1st-2nd.  For any additional information on the World of Outlaws Hawkeye 100 at Boone Speedway May 1st-2nd, direct all of those questions via their website https://worldofoutlaws.com/latemodels/
