Wheels set to Hit Boone Speedway May 16th

As released per World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series, the event originally scheduled for a fan-less Late Model event on May 15th will not be taking place.  Race officials have decided to focus the attention on finding a reschedule date on the originally planned Hawkeye 100 crown jewel event with WoOLM series.

With this schedule change, it will allow Boone Speedway to tentatively plan for some type of racing activity set for May 16th following CDC guidelines.  If fans are still not allowed to attend, Boone Speedway will schedule a practice session with only team members and drivers allowed in the the pit area. If some of the state recommendations change and allow fans by that time, Boone Speedway will adjust accordingly to hold a structured weekly racing event.

“We’re doing everything we can at Boone Speedway to get back to racing.  The World Of Outlaws event will go back to focusing on making the Hawkeye 100 with Cody Sommer a Crown Jewel event that fans can enjoy.  We will plan to get racecars on the track in some fashion on May 16, we will see what the state says, and plan accordingly,” said Coty Mallicoat representative for Boone Speedway.
